Monobank or PrivatBank: where is it better to receive an international transfer?

Comparing banks by final amount, exchange and subsequent use of the money.

Sometimes both banks receive the same amount

If the service sends the same hryvnia amount to both banks and deductions do not differ, repeating two identical calculations is pointless. The choice then depends on the recipient's card, withdrawal and further transfers.

Do not declare a bank the winner merely because it is popular. Compare actual crediting for your receiving method first.

When a currency route changes the result

With SmartPay, one bank's best option may use one currency and another bank's a different currency. Compare each bank's best confirmed route, not one randomly chosen currency for both.

Retaining foreign currency requires the corresponding accounts. Check Monobank and PrivatBank terms separately; one bank's exchange process cannot be applied to the other.

What happens after crediting

For card purchases, compare the balance available for cashless spending. For cash, add the withdrawal tariff. For PrivatBank, clarify whether it is a Universal or payout card; for Monobank, identify the specific card product.

How to decide

Select both banks in the calculator and open the leaders' details. Then check how much the advantageous bank route exceeds the same service's standard offer.

  • Compare receipt for the same debit.
  • Check the currency and exchange stages.
  • Account for promotions already used.
  • Compare timing and subsequent expenses.
  • Verify the parameters with the service before payment.
