ZEN.COM: a currency account and international transfers

How to distinguish topping up ZEN, exchanging currencies and sending money to the recipient.

Three operations rather than one

With a currency-account transfer, costs may arise when topping up, exchanging internally and sending. Check these stages separately: a zero fee at one stage does not make the whole route free.

ZEN.COM distinguishes SEPA, SWIFT, card and other transfers. Fees depend on the operation and plan; an additional processing charge may apply to certain recipients.

How to check the route

First determine the currency the bank should receive. Then check whether your ZEN account can hold and send it. Do not exchange simply because the currency appears in the app's general list.

  • Find out the top-up cost for your chosen method.
  • Check the amount after the internal exchange.
  • Check the sending fee and possible intermediary deductions.
  • Verify the recipient's currency and account details.

When SmartPay comparison is useful

If the receiving bank's crediting rules and rate are known, the comparison may show an alternative to a direct transfer. Such a result requires a confirmed route, not merely a currency balance.

Your personal plan, promotion or actual in-app fee may differ. Enter them in the calculator's local correction and compare again before exchanging.
