How SmartPay works
SmartPay is a comparison feature on paytoua.com that helps assess available transfer routes using provider rates, recipient-bank rates and known fees. It does not execute transfers or guarantee savings. Updated: 15 September 2026.
1. Enter your transfer parameters
Select the sending and receiving countries, currencies, amount and a supported receiving method. If bank-based SmartPay is available, select the recipient’s bank. The recipient’s bank is not the sending service. The result depends on the particular combination of these parameters.
2. Compare supported routes
A direct route uses the provider’s ordinary transfer path; where currencies differ, it may still include conversion. SmartPay with bank exchange assesses a transfer in a supported currency followed by conversion at a specific recipient bank under known rules.
On confirmed corridors, internal exchange in a provider’s account or wallet followed by payout in the same currency may be included. This path is available only where the necessary capabilities and pricing are confirmed; a provider’s brand or the presence of a currency alone does not prove route availability.
For a bank route, the credited currency, account or card type and manual or automatic exchange matter. A bank rate must not be applied to an unconfirmed Visa or Mastercard conversion. Check the actual sequence of steps in the details.
3. Assess the result
For a specified budget, the comparison considers the amount the recipient may receive. For a specified receive amount, it compares the required debit. The calculation uses known rates and fees; an additional bank, intermediary or plan charge may change the result.
The “best value” result means the best calculated option among those available for the current parameters and data, not a guarantee of the best price across the entire market. Check the data time; updates every five minutes are not guaranteed.
4. Check promotional and standard terms
A promotion is selected separately for the relevant provider. A discount or improved rate may depend on a first transfer, country, amount, payment method or other provider requirements. Affiliate remuneration and referral bonuses are not automatic discounts in your calculation.
If a standard tariff is unconfirmed, do not treat it as zero or guaranteed. Comparing a promotional result with a repeat transfer is limited by the available data; check standard terms with the provider.
5. Adjust your own rate or fee
Manual settings let you enter a provider rate or fee that you know and, for a supported bank stage, the bank’s rate or fee. These changes are stored locally in your browser and affect your calculation. They do not change the provider’s tariff or confirm a price.
Unchanged fields use the Site’s available data. Resetting manual changes returns the calculation to provider data; clearing browser data may also remove the settings.
6. Confirm the provider’s terms
Before paying, check the final rate, all fees, crediting method, any separate exchange required, limits and timing. The transfer and any related enquiries are handled directly with the provider or bank. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for differences between an estimated calculation and the actual transaction; mandatory legal rights remain unaffected.
